Protection for Your Pet’s Wellbeing and Your Wallet

Pets…they’re a part of your family, which means you want to protect them along with everyone else in your home. Auto insurance that covers your pets as well as you is one way to help the costs of veterinary care if your pet gets hurt in an accident.

If you have pets, it is inevitable that they will be in the vehicle with you at some point, whether they are your traveling companion going cross country with you, taking a ride to the dog park, or just taking a ride to the vet for a checkup. None of us want to think of our furry family members getting injured, but it happens. That makes insurance for pets a wise choice.

When speaking with Hometown’s Personal Lines Director, Melissa Sauer, she explained that many of our companies can provide coverage for your pets if they are injured in an auto accident, but not all. Melissa advised, “Utica National, one of our partner providers, offers deductible free coverage up to $750 per pet for injuries related to a covered auto accident.  This is one way the insurance company shows they are looking out for the whole family”.

To check your coverage, call your Personal Account Representative to review your policy.
